AI is no longer just a buzzword, it is a practical tool that is changing how AL development gets done. In this session we will share how we use AI to streamline code analysis, improve efficiency while vibe coding (the hands-on development process), and enhance collaboration through code reviews. Expect candid insights on what works, what doesn’t, and how AI is helping developers understand complex logic, track data flows, organize requirements and maintain code quality while accelerating delivery. Join us for a discussion that goes beyond theory and into practical strategies you can apply in your own Business Central development projects.

You know the conversation. It happens when the name badges come off and the real talk starts, between sessions in the hallway, or in a Teams message with the one person you know who leads a dev team like yours. How do you build a culture of code quality without slowing everything down? How do you justify investing in technical debt when every hour is billable? How do you lead a team of developers through the AI shift when you’re still figuring it out yourself?

These are the questions dev leaders carry around, and they rarely get a stage.

This panel skips the slides and puts that happy hour conversation in front of a microphone. A group of development practice leaders from across the BC ecosystem will take your questions, share what’s working, admit what isn’t, and disagree with each other along the way. Just the honest conversation about leading developers that you’ve been wanting to have.

Whether you lead a dev team today or you’re working toward it, bring your hardest questions. We’ll bring ours.

When tailoring, extending or building applications the suggested approach from Microsoft for D365 BC is AppSource, Power Platform and then custom DEV. How typical is this? Is this working for common scenarios? Are you asking yourself the question on which should I choose? Why should you even consider multiple avenues for addressing business requirements?

Join us to hear about numerous scenarios where a decision has been made one way or the other. Hear from others on what has been working for them and what they believe is common practice. And have your chance to express what has been working for you and your projects!

Whether new to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or a seasoned professional, you may often wonder if becoming a Functional Consultant or Developer is the better path.

On this episode, I had a discussion with some other Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central professionals trying to answer that question.

You can listen to the episode here

In April 2018, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central introduced the AL Development Language. Before this, C/AL was used to develop earlier versions of Navision and Dynamics NAV through the Integrated Development Environment.

AL is integrated with Visual Studio Code, providing a modern and efficient development environment. Initially, both languages were supported to ease transitions for existing systems. However, AL is now the only language for developing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Extensions.

In this episode I shared insights on Business Central Development with AL, encouraging developers to move to AL, and many more tips and tricks.
